I couldn't find anything similar for checking my flight status on Twitter.
I was doing a lot of traveling and there was no way to easily get flight status from my blackberry. Web browser is just too slow and I didn't want to sign up for more alerts or services. 140 char travels much faster and my BB is always on.

Re: Twitter Bots usage steadily growing

Thanks for the tip. I'm the developer of both HappyTwitDay and TweetBeep that you mentioned (thanks!). I just finished a new Twitter bot today, @twanslate - Twitter Translator. Follow @twanslate and then send a dm like 'd twanslate fr Where is the bathroom?' and it will send back the french translation. Lots of languages supported, just do 'd twanslate help' or see http://twanslate.com. Thanks!
